Property History

Lake Raystown Resort

In 1974 The Army Corp of Engineers began The Raystown Lake Project as flood control for the Susquehanna Valley. The dam is 225 feet high and over 1,700 feet long. It is located 21 miles north from Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge & Conference Center. The result is Pennsylvania’s largest man made lake, and best place to enjoy fishing, boating, water sports and everything mother nature has to offer.

In business since 1984, Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge & Conference Center is Central Pennsylvania’s top destination for family fun. As a family owned and operated resort, we continue to provide affordable family vacations. What began as a small Army Corp run campground, has now grown into a Resort with overnight accommodations to fit every family’s needs and budget.
